About Scancapture

In 2002, Scancapture Limited began with a very simple premise: figure out what clients need from a data processing company and provide it. We quickly discovered that what they needed didnt really exist. The options were either too expensive, too rigid in the way the processing company needed the surveys, such as specialist paper forms for Optical Mark Reading, or they did not completely address the whole picture.
We uncovered a need for a flexible, cheaper, full service outsourcing data processing company, where clients could pick and choose elements of a survey project from a whole range of services and solutions.

Company Progression

Over the next few years, Scancapture added staff, clients, and capabilities. We built up an impressive collection of hardware and software scanning technology which would become the main tool of our ever increasing capacity as a business. A range of powerful and fast document scanners coupled with sophisticated Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) software allows us the luxury of automating large parts of converting the survey data into a database. A whole host of options and quality checking procedures means the software is at least as accurate as a human operator but ten times quicker at getting the data into a computer.
The introduction of this state-of-the-art technology allows us to achieve our aims. It provides flexibility, it is cheaper than traditional keying in methods and it allows us to concentrate on providing excellent customer service.
This is why most of our existing clients use us time and time again, and we continue to attract new ones via recommendation.

What makes us different?

1. Flexibility: We realise that every project and every client will have different must-haves and would-likes. It is our intention to cover all your must-haves and as many of your would-likes as possible. Whether you need us one day every three months, every single day including weekends or entirely out of normal office hours work we will accommodate your needs. Our good customer service feeds your good customer service.


2. Total project focus: We will provide help wherever you need us. We have clients who prefer us to handle the entire project, from design and print right through to detailed analysis and reporting. We have clients who present us with forms theyve designed and had printed locally. We have clients who require raw data, to enable them to use their in-house skills to evaluate the responses. Its completely up to you - if any company dictates your must-haves, then you need to speak to us.


3. Free Communication Pack: Most data processing companies will charge for writing a technical specification or communication pack for you. We produce a comprehensive specification covering every aspect of your project to ensure that your project is completed first time, on time and within budget. We provide this service for free because we are as keen as you to make sure your project is a success. Both of our reputations depend on it. Additional copies and pre-survey announcement posters are available for a nominal fee.


4. Innovative ideas: We pride ourselves on doing things differently and doing them well. We propose innovative ideas such as personal delivery & collection of surveys, saving you massive amounts on postage and distribution. As a by-product of this, a survey received in this manner is more likely to be completed than if sent with a franking machine stamp, or mailsort reference on it. A win-win situation our clients cannot afford to miss. Our flexibility makes it easier for us to come up with new and interesting ways of doing boring things.


5. You keep control: This is one of the simplest things to achieve in a scanning project and is often overlooked or not offered. We will provide regular updates to make sure you have the answers to questions from your Manager at hand. How many surveys have come in?, How many have been scanned?, Is the project going to plan?, When will the data be ready? are all questions we are asked, and can be answered easily by sending you a daily, weekly, or monthly email. On top of this you have access to a dedicated Scancapture team member with direct dial telephone number, mobile telephone number and direct email.


6. Responsive: We know that when you call or email us you need the answer to your problem immediately. Our clients drive our business and Scancapture staff know they are there to provide a service for you. From your initial contact you will be assigned a dedicated Scancapture team member, who will keep detailed records of your enquiry or quotation for future reference and all call-back requests will be actioned on time. You will hear no excuses, just guarantees. There will be no need to chase us for anything, nor will you have to explain your project to several different people.
