For the last 5 years Scancapture have conducted Cargills Engagement Survey.
The aim of the survey is to help create an environment in which all members of staff can work effectively, gain personal satisfaction and be given the opportunity to develop, making Cargill Meats Europe a great place to work.

At Cargill, having engaged employees is the number one measure of success as a company. This means that their people consider themselves engaged employeesmeaning that they stay with the company, say positive things about the company and support the company by contributing all of their potential effort.

The fifth completed employee engagement survey cycle, translated into 22 languages for employees around the globe, continued to reflect a positive upward trend as they have achieved a 14 percentage point increase in employee engagement over the past five cycles of assessment. Engagement efforts at Cargill will continue to focus on using employee feedback and action plans for improvement to become the partner of choice with their customers and their employees.

Each year, Scancapture produce detailed reports for over 100 separate departments giving Cargill the necessary information to achieve their goals. Interactive spreadsheets and printed reports, supplied in folders, are provided by Scancapture which compare the current set of reports with historical information.

The Technology; Combining Accuracy and Speed
Scancapture use a combination of high speed document scanners with optical doubles detection to prevent any double feeds and sophisticated intelligent character recognition (ICR) software to automatically "read" the tick boxes, numbers, letters and open ended comments written on the questionnaire. Any questionable or incorrectly completed papers are manually checked on screen by an operator. As a large part of this project is automated by using technology, the whole process takes around one tenth of the time it would take for a manual operator to key the data into a computer database.
