Scores of delegates attended the North West Employee Engagement Group’s (NWEEG) second annual conference at Newton Hall Holiday Park in Blackpool last month (May).
The conference was a huge success, and attracted 170 delegates from 95 different businesses – representing a total of over 300,000 employees.
The event saw several key speakers take to the stage throughout the day. During the morning, attendees heard some NWEEG members share their journeys to success, including:
- Andrea Challis, Director at the Partingtons Group, Blackpool
- Andrew Henderson and Sara Wilson from Lanway IT, Burnley
- Simon Brierley from UKRD (2BR & The Bee radio stations), Lancashire
There were also talks from leading engagement experts including:
- Wayne Clarke, founding partner of the Global Growth Institute, London
- Sandra Green, founder of Handbags in the Boardroom, Cheshire
- Norry Ascroft, Independent Professional Training & Coaching Professional, Blackpool
Delegates took part in an interactive session with Jamie Thompson of MTA Learning, who demonstrated experiential learning kits for team skills, leadership and problem solving. They were given the chance to discuss their key learnings and experience of the day at an evening networking session.
Mark Bannister from Crown Paints, who was among the delegates, said: “I came away buzzing and recharged in my drive to help our great North West area businesses be even more engaged and perform even better.”
